Terms, in plain English

Last updated 17 September 2026. These are the terms between you (a Gas Safe registered business or engineer) and Easy Soft Services Ltd, trading as Omega Breakdown / Omega Field. If anything here is unclear, email info@omegabreakdown.com and we will answer in plain English too.

1. What you are signing up for

• The listing — a public profile on omegabreakdown.com/find and the town pages, and bookings from those pages straight into your diary. Free, for as long as you like.
• Omega Field — the software: engineer app, office desk, gas records, quotes, invoices, reminders. Free for 30 days from sign-up, then a monthly subscription.

2. Price

• £30 a month for the company, plus £5 a month for each active engineer login, plus VAT. One engineer working alone pays £35 + VAT = £42 a month.
• Billed monthly in advance on the 1st, due 14 days later, by bank transfer to the details on the bill (card and direct debit are coming). No setup fee, no minimum term, no charge for office logins.
• Nothing is charged during the trial. If you do nothing after the trial, the first bill arrives at the start of the next month.
• Prices can change with 60 days' notice by email; a change never applies to a month already billed.

3. Cancel any time

• Cancel from Settings › Your plan, or by email. Nothing is charged after the month you cancel in. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.
• Your logins stay open for 30 days after cancelling so you can export everything. After that the account is closed; your data is deleted 90 days after closure unless you ask us to keep it or delete it sooner.
• If a bill is 14 days overdue we tell you; nothing is switched off. If it is 60 days overdue we may close the account after warning you by email.

4. Your data is yours

• Customers, properties, appliances, jobs, records, quotes, invoices, photos: yours. Export all of it as CSV from Settings at any time, no need to ask.
• We never sell, share or use your customer data for anything except running Omega Field for you. We do not take a licence over your content.
• Each company's data sits in its own database on servers in the UK. Access is by your logins only; Omega staff look only to fix a problem you have reported.
• You are the data controller for your customers under UK GDPR; we are your processor. We will help with any subject-access request within the time the law gives.

5. The listing and the badge

• Your profile shows "licence verified" only while your office has recorded a licence number and expiry, verified it on the Gas Safe Register, the card is in date, and Omega has checked the same licence on the Register. If the card lapses the listing pauses by itself until the renewed card is entered and checked.
• We never automate checks against the Gas Safe Register; a person does them, and we never charge for it.
• Reviews come only from customers whose job you closed in Omega Field, one per job. You can hide a review you think is unfair and reply to any review. We remove reviews that are abusive or plainly not about the job.
• Your phone number and email are not published; bookings come to you through Omega Field, and the office number you set in Settings is what "Call" dials.
• We do not sell leads and never send a booking to more than one firm.

6. What Omega Field is not

• It is software. It does not give gas advice. The engineer who signs a record is responsible for the inspection, the readings and the record, exactly as with a paper pad. Omega Field enforces categories and expiry from the details you enter, so keep them accurate.
• We aim for the service to be available all the time and we keep daily backups, but we cannot promise it will never be down. Keep your own export if a record matters.
• Our liability to you is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Fair use

• Use your own logins; do not share a login between people (add an engineer instead — that is what the £5 is for).
• Do not enter records for work you did not do, or list a licence that is not yours. We close accounts that do.

8. The boring bits

• Easy Soft Services Ltd, registered in England and Wales. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
• We can update these terms; we email every account holder at least 30 days before a change that affects them.
